The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

I still remember (about fifteen years ago) when we first came to Kissimmee, Florida.

We had purchased our timeshare sight unseen. 

We had driven over 2200 kilometres to get here ... The final stretch was to travel on the I-4 and Highway 192 (at that time was under construction with an expansion of the number of lanes.)

We arrived at our home resort "High Point World Resort" that is located just off highway 192 on it's own private dead end street backing onto Disney's property...with the added bonus of being able to view the nightly firework displays from our front door.

It really is quiet and serene and you would never know that the Highway is just down the street, it is a great place for some "rest and relaxation" and if you want more excitement ... and all that Disney World has to offer is just around the corner.

The Good ... the beautiful natural landscape of the palm trees and tropical plants that thrive under the blue skies and warm sunshine, the wide selection of restaurants, shopping at the outlet stores with deep discount prices on top quality brands...i.e. Coach ( a favourite of mine for leather purses ).

                       

The Bad   ... the massive portion sizes served at many of the restaurants... who needs 35 grilled or fried shrimp or a pound of meatloaf?

and ....

The Ugly ... the attention getting tourist "structures" ... from the flashing neon signs vying for your business, the gaudy decor adorning the many gift shops and the kiosks claiming to give you the best deal on tickets to Disney Parks, Sea World, Universal, etc.

Monsieur Honey is glad to be away from the grey skies in Canada during November and he loves the blue skies and sunshine in Florida!
