In mid October, my new walking friend "Susie Q" and I discovered a new area to explore while trying to get enough steps in a day and some good exercise, plus view some beauty!
We have given this new place the nickname... "The Enchanted Forest".
On our first walk here...the sun was shining brightly and filtering thru the tall trees.
Two days later we returned ... and today in the darkness of the sun shadowed by the clouds our "Enchanted Forest" became the "Black Forest"!
The forest floor was carpeted with leaves, we followed new found paths deeper into the woods and discovered a hunter's tree stand ... somewhat unnerving with "Hunting" season upon us.
We will need to stay out of here until the "Deer Hunting" season is over and find some other places to enjoy our walks... I will miss this natural beauty!
